Removing the extender arms from your GenTent Inverter Kit is a simple process that requires just a few steps and a flathead screwdriver. This guide will walk you through how to safely separate the extenders from the corner brackets or other extender arms without damaging your GenTent components.
Flathead screwdriver (standard size)
Locate the Connection Point
Identify where the extender arm is attached; either to another arm extender or directly to an angle brace
Insert the Screwdriver
Carefully insert the tip of the flathead screwdriver:
Between the two extender arms, or
Between the extender arm and the angle brace corner bracket.
Twist to Separate
Gently twist the screwdriver to create separation between the two pieces. You may feel the parts begin to loosen.
Angle and Pull
Once separated slightly, angle the two pieces so they can clear each other, then pull to fully detach them.
Work slowly and gently to avoid stressing the plastic.
If resistance is strong, try wiggling the extender arm slightly while applying twisting pressure with the screwdriver.
Always use caution to avoid scratching or damaging the GenTent frame or bracket.
