Will this melt or burn due to heat from the exhaust?
GenTent is engineered to cover the more pertinent pieces of the generator which can be damaged due to inclement weather. The water shed effect of the canopy will allow a 4–6 inch perimeter around the generator, and prevent any moisture accessing your fuel source, or any pooling water.
By design, we do not want to block the intake, vents, or exhaust as that can run the risk of overheating your generator. All of our products are made with NFPA-rated canopies and flame-retardant components.
